The first idea if you are an Internet-fanatic… is : no way Jose. I can’t live without the net. I need to be connected, I need to check my emails, I need to be in contact.
So in theory we can’t live without facebook, cnn.com , google.com or youtube, we can’t life without accessing the net and getting ALL the INFORMATION that we want NOW . Because that is what Internet seems to be all about, getting the info you want, in the moment you want. Being always connected , spending hours in front of the PC, in front of thousands of sites…
So it seems that we can’t survive 1 week without Internet, and then I try to go a bit deeper.
Is that it? Are we Internet Slaves?
What about living without our family? our country? what about surviving one week without your son, without a house? What about surviving one week without the hope of life?
So if you think you can’t survive 1 week without Internet, go back to the core of your life, and think of how fragile life is
This is quick, sad and hard example: China Earthquake . For sure you read it on the net, but what about if you where one of the people in the earthquake? What about if I was one of the people in New Orleans? In Burma ?
It makes you wonder if sometimes we have our priorities wrong, if sometimes we forget that life is more than the flat screen, the fast connections, the mp3 players and the high tech-gizmo-collection that in theory we need to keep us “alive”.
